Jesus enters Jerusalem on a donkeyRead Matthew 21:1-3.
“As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage on the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two disciples, saying to them, ‘Go to the village ahead of you, and at once you will find a donkey tied there, with her colt by her. Untie them and bring them to me. If anyone says anything to you, say that the Lord needs them, and he will send them right away.’” Why do you think Jesus chose to ride a donkey rather than a powerful horse? |

Jesus washes his disciples feet
Jesus and His disciples were getting ready for the Passover Festival. Jesus knew that it was almost time for Him to leave His home on Earth and go back to Heaven. While they were eating dinner, Jesus had a lot of things on His mind. He knew that one of His friends was going to betray Him. He also knew that God had a plan and had everything under control.
After dinner He got up, got a bucket of water, and started washing the disciple’s feet. He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, “Lord, are you going to wash my feet?” Jesus replied, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.” “No,” said Peter, “you shall never wash my feet.” Jesus answered, “Unless I wash you, you have no part with me.” “Then, Lord,” Simon Peter replied, “not just my feet but my hands and my head as well!” What do you think Jesus was trying to teach his disciples by washing their feet? |
